Vehicle Miles Traveled
On Tuesday, October 23rd, the Contra Costa County Climate Leaders along with the Bay Area Air Quality Management District, California League of Cities, 511.org, and local city officials presented a comprehensive workshop on Vehicle Miles Traveled (VMT). Discussed was the many ways to reduce community-wide VMTs and greenhouse gas emissions associated with transportation. Groups have addressed this issue through Climate Action Planning, General Plans, Transportation policies, education, outreach, and practice!
